Speed up slow Wi-Fi in the office
Slow Wi-Fi usually comes down to distance, interference or too many devices on an old access point. These steps narrow it down.
Test wired vs wireless
Plug a laptop into the network with a cable and test the speed. If wired is fast, the issue is the Wi-Fi, not your broadband.
Move closer to the access point
Thick walls, distance and microwaves all weaken Wi-Fi. If it's fast near the access point, you have a coverage gap.
Reduce dead spots
Large or older offices often need extra access points rather than one router — note where the weak areas are.
Check how many devices are connected
Phones, laptops, tablets and smart devices all share the Wi-Fi. A cheap router struggles past a dozen or so.
Still not working?
If coverage is patchy across the office, we can survey it and recommend business access points that fix the dead spots — get in touch.
